Often, the ways we think, feel, and respond have developed for understandable reasons. Therapy can be an opportunity to become curious about those patterns, understand where they came from, and decide whether they are still serving you. Together we can work on seeing how to honour your true self and continue to expand towards healthier paths.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in education and community-based family support. These experiences shaped my understanding of how deeply our environments, relationships, families, and communities can influence our wellbeing. I bring that broader perspective into counselling while remaining focused on whoever is sitting in front of me. I believe meaningful change can happen when people feel heard, understood, and supported in making choices that are authentic to them. If you’re considering counselling, you don’t need to know exactly what you need before reaching out, we can start there together.
Depending on what you need, our work might involve exploring your story and identity, understanding relationship and attachment patterns, developing strategies for managing difficult emotions, practicing new ways of responding, or simply having a space where you can slow down and make sense of what is happening.
