Hi, I’m Nicole! Originally from the Kootenays, I moved to Kelowna to complete my undergraduate degree at UBC Okanagan and after several years working in healthcare, I went back to school to pursue my Master of Social Work. I am now a Registered Social Worker providing trauma-informed counselling to youth (ages 12+) and adults in Kelowna and across British Columbia.
I believe real change starts when someone feels heard and supported without judgement. My aim is to build a space that feels safe and comfortable, where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re going through and build on the strengths you already have.

My perspective is shaped by my background in substance use counselling, acute care and youth support work. This has shown me how anxiety, depression, substance use, life stressors or other challenges rarely exist in isolation and are often shaped by other things going on in a person’s life. I take a holistic, person-centred approach, paying attention not just to the identified challenge or goal itself, but to the relationships, environment and circumstances surrounding it.

My work is collaborative and shaped around you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices, depending on your goals and what resonates with you. My aim is to work alongside you as you lean into your existing strengths, build coping skills, and work toward the goals that matter most to you.

Outside of work, you can find me outdoors running or cycling or indoors sewing or lost in a good book.
